[When it comes to degeneracy, Diva's phone is chock full of it. Nude pictures, raunchy texts, nasty exchanges between her and Tsurugi engaging in all sorts of gross roleplay. Her dominant has a mommy kink and it's second nature for the Chiropteran to indulge him in it by now. What Sebastian receives accidentally instead of her boyfriend is a picture of Diva in nothing more than a frilly apron, the front pulled down to expose her breasts. Her face isn't visible but it's clear from the backdrop that it's the kitchen of the cottage Sebastian now cleans on a regular basis. It's the text that really is the icing on the proverbial cake so to speak - completely and utterly inappropriate:]
[... DIVA. Sebastian thought the vampire couldn't surprise him anymore, but the sheer level of inappropriateness in one picture and the crass level of her writing surely takes the cake. This has actually managed to shock Sebastian enough that the demon's eyebrows look like they're trying to escape into his scalp]
Good heavens, this is a mistake on several levels. Shame on you, Lady Diva, do you know nothing of propriety?
[ Attached is just a picture of his 4 separate genital piercings. Rock hard, clearly, with his hand around it though he doesn't seem to actually be masturbating. ]
I don't know if it's just a side-effect, but this has definitely been longer than 4 hours.
[While he doesn't know how this man - creature? - has his contact information, he takes it upon himself to take a good, long look at that photograph. Those are...piercings, yes? Not some malformed growth thanks to human evolution?]
Sir, while I can hardly claim to be a doctor, I would warrant that having an erection for longer than 4 hours is most concerning.
[ for the amount of texts sent in the course of days, he's kinda frustrated at this point. WHY HIS WOMEN HAVE NOT ANSWERED, ARE THEY ANGRY?! they didn't seem so before. ]
You're not interested in me taking you from behind? Is it too crass?
[ He had been planning to just speak to Sebastian in person once the Submissive came home, but between being at work all day himself and overthinking everything Diva had texted to him earlier today he figures a quick message should be fine. Sebastian was efficient, after all. ]
[Sebastian is still healing, at this point more due to Anduin's accursed Light and less to the gunshot. Still, that is no excuse for a butler to fail to respond by written correspondence]
My deepest apologies for failing to clean this week. As you know, things were most...eventful in the Down. I'm afraid that I couldn't escape them and I may need some personal time off to recover. I thank you for your understanding!
I've left a gift for you in your room for whenever you make it home today. Good luck with your work as always!
[ A simple text, but not a simple gift.
This had been a long time coming. For various reasons, Wataru had been wanting to give Sebastian a present. Gratitude, worry, sympathy for his injuries--all very specific feelings that he could pinpoint with accuracy, and a few of simple fondness that he was unsure of. So, clearly, the best thing to do would be to fill Sebastian's new room in their new house absolutely full of various darker hued flowers. Each vase carefully arranged and organized to perfection.
[Suffice to say, returning to his quarters to a surprise such is this is certainly unprecedented! A butler generally doesn't expect to receive gifts, much less something as extravagant as this: between the flowers artfully placed in arrangements that bring out their tasteful color scheme to the black box sitting on his nightstand. The pen is exquisite. The ink well matches and he's astonished at the attention to detail with the a cat captured in silver detail.
He would question what the occasion is, but he is beginning to realize that if there isn't one, Wataru will simply make one]
Your decorating and floral sensibilities are unmatched, sir! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for such a beautiful arrangement, and for the marvelous pen and ink well - I will naturally use them in my duties.
[ Unfortunately for Sebastian, Mey-Rin has been trying to reach him ever since the communicators went down. Partially because her own Dominant was trapped and missing in the Down, but also because she'd noticed that the butler seemed to be missing in action as well...
While she wasn't worried about his safety, per se, she was worried about the situation in general... about how all of the guards completely disregarded her questions and worries in favor of just trying to force horrible festivities onto her. In fact, she was worried enough to send literally a hundred or so text messages of concern and attempts to get information to him. There's even voicemails (which are completely novel to learn even though she hadn't figured out how to check those on her own communicator just yet). And once Riza is finally home safely she decides to try and reach Sebastian again. ]
Mister Sebastian! You're alright!? I was so worried! Where are you?
[Typically Sebastian is excellent - no, more than excellent - at keeping track of incoming and outgoing messages. Unfortunately, nearly getting killed by a most unpleasant demonstration of Anduin's "Light" (and oh yes, being shot by some strange weapon), means that the butler has fallen out of contact. He's still moving gingerly, minding the ugly burn that he carefully drapes his tailcoat over to hide, when he registers the comm device going off.
...Oh dear. It seems as if Mey-Rin has completely flooded the inbox, forming a wall of her username.
Eventually Sebastian replies back]
Apologies, Mey-Rin. I'm still in the Down, but I assure you that I am alive and will be well enough to work soon.
[If he wasn't a demon, he would've been touched at the fact she cared this much about her boss]
— Master Sebastian Michaelis, a man of such diligence I shall never know better.
A gift, to keep you warm through the winter.
In my home, we give gifts at the end of harvest - to keep us in good cheer all through the long dark to come. One to keep you warm on the nights which you are always so busy in your tasks, I worry so oft' that you shall not be in care of yourself with all the care you take in your work. The wreath is usually given at midsummer and kept until mid-winter when we burn them on the longest night to ward off bad omens for the new year.
In all regard, yours, Gilia St. Loe, Daughter-Sea, She Who Sings the Ocean to Prosperity
[ With the note comes a box that has been carefully packaged, scented faintly with lavender and rosemary. On the top is a simple wreath of leaves, bound together with twists of herbs and flowers that make it faintly sweet, with how it has all been carefully dried. Below it is the main gift itself. A jacket, made of thick wool and silk blended together and picked out in carefully hand-stitched embroidery and sewn in lace, golden patterns. ]
[It won't be long at all before there will be a response from Sebastian with his typically (inhumanly) perfect cursive, not even a centimeter of ink smeared from a hasty knuckle or sloppy wrist]
To the most esteemed and ever prosperous Lady Gilia,
I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the beautiful gifts you have bestowed upon me. Of course I will put both to good news and on prominent display when appropriate. You are a most generous of employers to concern yourself with your staff in such a fashion.
It has been a pleasure to work under your employ.
My sincerest regards and gratitude, Sebastian Michaelis
